The largest automobile collection is owned by Brunei’s sultan Hassanal Bolkiah. There are more than 5000 cars, including Ferrari, Rolls-Royce, Mercedes, Jaguar, and Bentley. To keep them, the sultan maintains four garages with a total area of one square kilometer.

One of London’s bankers compiled the collection of 5,500 chewing gum wrappers. He began hoarding them since he was 10 and his hobby cost him his marriage, his wife left him because she hated his obsession with wrappers.

A Chinese collector Wang Guohua amassed a collection of more than 30,000 cigarette boxes from various countries. Some of them, rare and unusual ones, exhibited in a special room in his Hangzhou home.

The first known collection in history was the collection of plants which belonged to Aristotle. He gathered all kinds of them from different countries and described them in one of his scientific essays. Alexander the Great himself was sending samples for his collection.
