Steve Santini has dedicated himself and a good portion of his life to collecting some very strange and unusual relics from the history of criminal justice. Inspired as a young boy by a trip to the legendary, “Ripley’s Believe it or Not!” museum in St. Augustine, Florida, Steve mapped a lifelong quest to find and collect objects that admittedly many others would shy away from. In this episode we go deep inside Steve’s dark side collection of devices and instruments that were used in times past to punish criminals, accused “witches”, and others who had run afoul of the law. Steve believes that the only way we can hope for a better future for ourselves and our children is if we confront our dark history head on and learn from it.
